Johnson calls you around 8:00 Am on a Tuesday. It’s been only a few days since you and Houdini exterminated The Whitlock Mansion and grounds. Houdini is still in the hospital recovering from his wounds and what minor surgery was involved.
That’s ok though, because Mr. Johnson says that he only needs one man for this one.
Exactly what you’re wearing and driving doesn’t matter for this meeting so let’s skip straight there, shall we?
Johnson’s office looks the same. Apparently he doesn’t clean much but seems to have no problems finding the things he needs. Whatever he has planned for you is already on his desk in front of him in a thick vanilla folder.
“I have a job that’s pretty far out’ve my normal boundaries. None of my proven Runners are willing to travel so far for so little, but I thought I’d ask you before I turned the job down…”
He pulls a thin tablet PC out of the folder in front of him and slides it across the desk to you. “There’s a small facility in the Gulf… It’s located on an offshore island owned by the Confederated American States.”

Aztecnology rents this land and has an underground facility devoted to new technology development. They’ve built something that my client is interested in. If you’re willing to take this run I’ll describe it in detail. I will warn you though You’ll be relying heavily on a Decker to get you in and about and discretion will be the name of this game. Johnson leans back in his chair, Although I’ve worked with him many times and he’s never let me down.
What d’ya say?
"I couldn't help but notice the 'So far for so little' comment. What kind of money we talking here?"
Well, my source is offering 11,000 for this job. Minus my normal 3,000 fee you'll still be making more than your last job. The decker who'll be helping you is on a private payroll for someone who has a personal interest in Aztechnology's dealings.
"Most of my employees have more "seniority" and don't want to travel across the continent for that amount. You're the last person I want to ask before turning the job down."
"But, before you decide, let me explain the deal to you. You're not going in covertly. In two days they're expecting a "Security Expert" to arrive and shake the place up (observe rotations, promote or replace security personnel...). That will be you."
He snickers slightly "Basically, you'll be toughening the place up while you're robbing it."
Johnson pulls out a drawer in his desk and starts rummaging through it "You won't be entirely alone in this. I have something special for you in here if you decide to accept the job... AH! Here it is..."
He then pulls out a small brown box, opens it up, and pulls out a small white case.
"This is a special set of contacts. Only someone with cybereyes can use them, because the electronics in the cyberware powers them and amplifies their signals. They will allow the decker to send you text messages to your left eye, hear you through a mini-microphone in the left, and see what you see."
He then rattles the brown box with his other hand. It sounds like a couple of small devices are still in it "In here is the object of your mission. The system that contains the information that my source needs is on an isolated network, or else the decker could do it himself. He needs you to plant these."
He hands the box to you. Inside are two small USB devices "Those are wireless network adapters. One is to be placed on a PC connected to the matrix, the other on the isolated system. Then the decker can do his thing. Their range should cover the entire compound."
"My source has also offered a 2,000 bonus just for you if Aztechnology doesn't know the theft took place. That means staying and finishing the official job. Which should only take about two days total. It also means not leaving those little buggers behind. He motions his head torwards the box in your hands.
"Go get something to eat and be back here in an hour. I want to give you time to think it over. I know your history and think you'd be good for this job, but you're the last person I ask before turning it down."
First off, I have no security type skills, only thing close I have is Small Unit Tactics (doesn't relate at all really), and Military Theory (only relates somewhat). How bad is this going to hurt my character? Other than that, Aaron returns and replies as follows.
Alright, sounds interesting. You can count me in Johnson. I have a question about the network adapters though. Won't there systems detect anything of the sort being plugged in the moment I insert them into, well, anything?
Side note: After Johnson's response that will, I'm sure, ease Aarons (and my) concerns Aaron will say. . .
"Also, I'm going to need the complete work ups on the whole facility. I need camera layouts, info on personnel, and any other sort of security measures they have. It would also help to get as much info as possible with whoever I'm supposed to be meeting with in the company. If I'm going in as a security advisor, I would have already had this information anyway, and I'm going to need to appear well informed. Either through my own recon, or an associate. I can only assume time is of the essence here, so me actually doing any recon here is out of the question I'm sure. I feel confident that I can assume proper identification for me will be provided also."
"Other than that, I need to meet this decker. My life is going to be in his or her hands, so I need to know I can trust this person. Also, from what your telling me, it sounds like this decker will be able to brief me more on what my exact detail will be in this run."
Aaron stands up from his chair, straightens his suit jacket and tie and then adds: "So as long as this can be provided, when do we start?"
(Done on Yahoo Messenger)
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:07:33 PM): How about getting some work ups of the facility, and meeting this Decker?
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:08:25 PM): I'm sorry, he's located in Europe and'll be jacking from there. Your contacts will be sat-linked to him
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:08:45 PM): I'll have him contact you in one day while in route
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:08:47 PM): So no briefing before I go in?
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:08:54 PM): Only in route
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:08:53 PM): Ok got it
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:09:35 PM): So are they expecting an unarmed Security CEO, or what?
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:10:11 PM): Yes, but I doubt they'll frisk you, so you do what's in your interest
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:11:37 PM): Alright then. Aaron's equipment will be his swank ass suit, his trusty .45's minus silencers, a briefcase containing standard essentials for an overnighter, and his skull suit.

GM -- (9/10/2005 9:14:14 PM): This is Flasher. I'll be your assistance in the compound. Please put your contacts in over old Texas tomorrow while in route. We'll get to know each other then. I'll be waiting
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:14:33 PM): Then it clicks off.

Ghost (9/10/2005 9:18:30 PM): pardon?
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:19:10 PM): Don't talk too loud, Go to the bathroom so you don't look like a crazed passenger
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:19:38 PM): Ok

GM -- (9/10/2005 9:19:59 PM): Sorry I didn't leave a longer message before
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:20:09 PM): I don't like leaving recordings
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:20:17 PM): I can understand
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:20:25 PM): You're probably wondering the details of the compound
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:20:34 PM): Here, hold on...
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:20:35 PM): Of course
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:21:20 PM): The screen flickers and then an image fills your left view, overlaying the rest of the bathroom
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:22:15 PM): That's a big compound
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:22:32 PM): This is what I've gotten from hacking the facility so far.
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:22:54 PM): There's an elevator shaft that connects the 3 main floors
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:23:37 PM): The lowest floor has a separate shaft and no information on it exists in my reach
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:23:42 PM): The main shaft in the middle?
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:24:02 PM): yes, the smaller shafts are air shafts
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:24:08 PM): copy
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:24:28 PM): The green level is level 1
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:24:55 PM): offices, server room, and lunch room
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:25:52 PM): level 2...
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:26:03 PM): contains a small factory
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:26:22 PM): they're manufacturing special vehicles their.
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:26:38 PM): must be a large elevator
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:26:44 PM): Nope, The part to the far left is a dock for loading a sub that appears once a week
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:27:09 PM): Nothing is seen from above, and it's done in secret
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:28:08 PM): level 3 is the red level
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:28:43 PM): It's a clean room (entirely). Computer manufacturing and programming is done here
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:28:48 PM): ok
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:28:55 PM): Sounds like the money spot
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:31:32 PM): The lowest level has no designation. You'll have to see it for yourself if need be
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:31:48 PM): As long as they allow me access
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:32:19 PM): If not, get there if you have to....
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:32:10 PM): What kind of electronic security measures is already in place here?
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:32:23 PM): Let me see...
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:32:43 PM): Security is as follows
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:33:09 PM): Normal cameras throughout structure
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:33:16 PM): One Decker on staff
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:33:29 PM): Normal vision on cameras?
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:34:17 PM): No night or heat vision. Lights are always on
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:34:29 PM): Probably costs a fortune
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:33:34 PM): At least two guards per level except 3 (only one)
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:33:53 PM): No security on black level (but palm access required)
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:34:29 PM): Where is power supplied from?
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:35:04 PM): Off sight. In the middle of the island and public grid
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:35:14 PM): There is a backup generator in the factory
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:35:19 PM): Wow, hooked up to the public grid, surprising
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:35:35 PM): If not it'd probably get government attention
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:36:17 PM): The air shafts are accessible, but the topside grates are locked and sensor equipped; magnetic I think
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:36:41 PM): Copy magnetic sensor
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:36:49 PM): pretty ancient tech here
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:37:15 PM): Well they'd be pretty hard to get to... Listen to this…
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:37:24 PM): Outer security:
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:38:47 PM): Radar on three ocean sides, normal/night vision cameras on land side, pal scanner entry to building and elevator shafts, sonar for ocean side, 2 trained Fenrir's released on grounds at night
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:39:47 PM): Don't want to tangle with that on the way out
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:36:02 PM): So what kind of gear do these guards have?
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:36:53 PM): let me check
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:40:53 PM): That's why we're sneaking you in legit like... Guards have fechetti pistols but are instructed not to use them in sensitive areas.
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:41:09 PM): that's a bit of a relief
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:41:14 PM): I'll keep it cool though
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:41:38 PM): Each is equipped to contact the other in an instant though. You'll be equipped also as a stand-in
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:41:57 PM): Guard?
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:42:10 PM): You'll prob be handed a transceiver on entry. The officer in charge will meet you at the airport
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:42:28 PM): Am I going in as an advisor here, or a stand in?
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:42:59 PM): You'll be meeting everybody. They'll expect you to pretty much take charge with suggestions once you learn the area and review the security records
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:43:06 PM): Nice
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:43:33 PM): They'll expect you to learn their jobs the best you can, but not really DO them
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:43:36 PM): I'll do my best to make it believable
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:43:45 PM): a real hard-core security expert prick
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:44:26 PM): So, what's my name, and company I'm with here?
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:46:08 PM): you're going in with Lonestar... You need no records, because Aztechnology doesn't run the risk of leaving records lying around here. Your name is just "Barry Tunes" It's fake and they know that. They never had the real guy's name either
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:46:38 PM): damn, Barry Tunes?
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:46:40 PM): damn
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:46:49 PM): I need to let you go, you'll be landing in an hour, here's picture of the guard in charge...
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:47:04 PM): copy
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:47:10 PM): The image of a security camera fills your left view
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:48:04 PM): It's live, and you realize that Flasher must've been jacked in there the whole time
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:48:19 PM): Nice
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:48:37 PM): this is gonna be real handy Decker
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:48:47 PM): One man is setting behind a desk, feet up, and slowly picking his nose while reading the paper
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:48:58 PM): He'll be meeting you in an hour
Ghost (9/10/2005 9:49:14 PM): Copy that
GM -- (9/10/2005 9:49:19 PM):
You and Sam take a break. He takes you to the breakroom on level 1. It appears to be the biggest room on that level and there's already a few vanilla folders laying on the table for you to sift through (employee records and a few security reviews).

He leaves you there for a bit while he askes Bob (the Security Sup.) about access to Level 3.
(You're free to look through the files before you continue, but first Flasher signals you.)
"I can't see any isolated Computers yet. There's a few cameras that scan back in level 3, but the IC is too tough. The risk of me tripping a major alarm is too high at this point. Plus there's that other Decker to worry about."
"The displays in the Sec. Supervisor's office might rotate to them. Or better yet, you could keep pestering them for that level 3 access. Hell, you might even find something in those files in front of you."
"I'm gonna review what you've seen so far. I had the audio muted on my side, but if you call my name at a normal speaking level it'll come back online."
Campaign Update: It's going on 6:00 PM, about 92 degrees outside and a nice 68 inside. The Fenrir Wolves will be released in about 2 hours (you can hear them beginning to wake down the hall. The scientists will be leaving for the day in about 1.
Reply to Flasher : "Hey pal, I need to know that once I get you access to one of these terminals that you can insert some sort of bug or virus that will wipe my existence clean from their data bases. I mean a total ghost. No record of me even coming here. You can set a time delay of whatever makes since to you. I just want no record of me being here, copy? Also, if you can, once your in see if you can set up some sort of "loop" on the feeds to these cameras."
After that I want to do a detailed search through the records in front of me. See what I'm up against here and to see if I can find anything of interest (guess that'll be a success roll to see if I happen across something). Then I want to go have a chat with Bob and express my true opinion of the fact that I can't help them without knowing the true extent of their facility.
"Yea, I can wipe out your visit completely if you want. If fact, I have that kind of access now. I can set the cameras on a loop too, but we might want to wait until you make a move because that Decker is still making his rounds in here."
Here's a rundown of the files in front of you:
* There's never been a successful break-in of the facility while charlie was on duty (the troll)
* The only successul break-in was early in the morning before charlie arrived and after the Fenrir Wolves where put in for the day, and the two runners never got past the elevator. Charlies hours were charged after that to coincide with the wolves.
* The Fenrir Wolves have small cyber implants in their necks. The can be tranqulized by remote. Then two of the gaurds on duty bring them in safely.
* The computer system has a history of minor break ins. Multiple backups during the day prevent anything serious from happening.
* There is no record of a system "off the grid". Although there is evidence of an Experimental Mainframe below level 3 that has no connection to "security matters"
(Bob comes in after about an hour. He gives you a transciever like the rest of the team has and says he's gonna allow you access to level 3 for a few minutes just to get the lay of the land. But he's holding the Fenrir Wolves in until you leave so you don't have much time and Joey will guide you around)
(He gives you a set of keys (one for your rental car he got you, and one for a condo to stay in further down the island))
(You can get in anything you might want to know now bud.)
My reply to Flasher: Excellent, lets wipe me clean once I'm out, or whenever you think is the best time. Also, is this a one day job, or am I coming back tomorrow? Also, what is my R.O.E. (Rules of Engagement)? No casualties? Or am I cleared for that, although I'd rather not.
My reply to Bob: Excellent, lets go have a look around level 3 then so I can get a better evaluation of what I'm dealing with here.
After chatting with Bob, and finding out I'm getting an escort around the rest of the facility, I need to find a way to contact Flasher again and ask if he can create a diversion for me (cutting lights, camera's, etc. . .) while I'm alone with Joey. So that I can either install the wireless device, or knock out Joey long enough to do it while he is distracted. Hopefully the first option, I would hate to depend on just convincing Joey he "Slipped and fell".
(Bob leaves you to go down to level 3. Your palm print from earlier will now allow you access to all MAIN levels. You first divert to the restroom before getting to the shaft to be alone for a minute.)
Flasher: "Sure, I can cut the power on any level but The black level. It appears to be isolated with a backup generator. The elevator to it is off the same grid too, I can access the controls, but not cut it's power. Tap your watch and mention the time or something when you want me to. I'll keep an eye out for any PC's that I haven't accessed."
.....
(Joey meets you at the elevator door on level 3. His stuff for the day (magizines, books, handheld game...) is already packed into a small backpack on his desk. You can tell he's all set to go home for the night.)
"I'll show you the area, but I don't want to stay too late. Those wolves freak me out, they're magical you know."
It takes a few minutes for you both to suit up (you'd have to shower and go through decon if you didn't). and Joey guides you through the airlock and long hallway to the working area.
There's a bunch of desks (hightech workbenches really), full of computer equipment, tools, and parts. Joey points out the four security camera's in each corner of the room (but since each workbench has a partition it's easy for you to understand why Flasher couldn't see all the desks), and he talks for a few minutes about protocol and such.
Flasher: "I don't see anything that's even running in this room. It looks like they're building all the electronics for those vehicles in here. It's up to you for the next order of business."
Alright, since your saying there is nothing of interest here. I want to walk around and take a close look at the layout of camera's and desks and such. To look busy, and to maybe see anything. If Joey doesn't show any signs of letting me go to the next level, it's time to point to the watch and cut the lights. At which point, while Joey is distracted I'm going to give the signal to cut the lights.
NOTE: AT THIS POINT, IF NOTHING HAS GONE THIS WAY YET, LET ME KNOW. CAUSE I'LL HAVE TO CHANGE WHAT I HAVE DONE.
Now, assuming things have gone this way, and the lights have been cut without problem. Once the lights are out. . .
Ghost: "What the Hell?"
Joey: Hopefully predicted sort of response
Ghost: "I can't see a thing, can you?" If he responds with a no, then move to the next step. If he can, I'll stop here.
Using stealth, I want to approach him from the rear and give him one of these (see pic below)

Only no Knife! The here is to knock him off balance with the foot to the back of the knee, then all in one motion grab his arm and back of his head all at once and SLAM it into the nearest wall/desk/doorjamb hopefully knocking him out cold. Then radio that Joey is down and give a standard full report. Stop here if all has not gone to plan, proceed if it has.
Radio Flasher and have him cut the lights and power everywhere. Including all other elevators I realize the lower level cameras will still be on, but at least there monitors won't. Then have flasher call me the elevator so I can take a look around, I need to be fast. I want to be back before anybody arrives and Joey wakes up. Also, if there are any lab coats around, I need to grab one. If all goes as planned I want to have one on and have Flasher tap into the Camera's on the Black Level once he has full access due to the network adapter, and get a shot of me (the suspect) leaving the black level with the labcoat on. This will be used in my plan to point the finger back at themselves.
Hopefully all has gone to plan and I can be the one waking Joey back up and telling him what happened.
(Ah, so it begins...)
(You start strolling around. With almost every station to come Joey mentions whether the camera can see that person, what their mannerisms are, and embarrassing things that they've done thinking that no one was looking. Flasher dosn't relay anything so you guess he hasn't seen anything, either have you.
You realize that Joey has no interest in showing you the lowest level.
Guess it's time to start your plan...
(You tap your watch and yawn... )
Ghost: "I've seen enough here, let's get some sleep."
Joey: "Yes sir, though you'd never..." (Lights click off) "...ask..."
(You here a click and some static)
"Hey Bob, the power's off down here. See what Circuit can do"
Ghost: "What the Hell?"
Joey: "Circuit's our decker, he'll try to get the power back on."
Ghost: "I can't see a thing, can you?"
Joey: "Nope, The lights should be back on in a sec though"
Attack roll: unarmed (6) vrs grapple on unsuspecting victim (3), no modifiers = 5 successes

(Joey's out with a thump. Bob hasn't responded yet, but you figure he's talking to his decker on the phone about now (he can prob dial in from home.))
SWEET! So far so good. Right off, I need to contact Flasher about killing power to the rest of the Facility, especially the monitoring station, and the elevator to this level, so they can't see anything else I do, or make their way to us. Then proceed with the calling of the other elevator and getting a lab coat if available (you know, that whole plan). Then if/when Bob responds I need to respond in a manner as though I can't see a thing and that Joey is down. . . "I believe he tripped, I have found him, he has a pulse and is breathing normally" type of shit. Then I need to keep in contact the whole time as if I'm not leaving his side. Above all, time is of the essence. Also, if I need a palm print to get in the other one, I'll just use Joey's. Then hopefully have Flasher wipe that clean from the data banks along with any other record of that elevator even moving.
Killing power is easy, killing it before Bob had a chance to call his decker is a different matter.
Oh well, we'll let Flasher deal with that
(There are no labcoats in the clean room. They're all in the staging area behind you. Besides, you'll already wearing that bio suit you and Joey put on when you entered)
Bob over radio: "Power just went out up here, phones too. The both of you just sit tight. I have to go protocol real quick and release the kids."
(You can only assume he means the Wolves, They must release them if the other security measures are compremised. Luckily he made no request of Joey.)
Flasher: "The other decker has just logged in. I scrambled some codes to slow him down, but he'll have the power up eventually."
(The lowest level elevator opens)
Flasher: "Hurry, and I'll try my best to to slow him down."
(You ride the elevator down to it's only other stop. Flasher dosn't know of anything down here. The door opens... )

Ghost (9/28/2005 9:09:03 PM): Ok, this must be automating itself then
Ghost (9/28/2005 9:09:11 PM): I'll check it out
Ghost (9/28/2005 9:09:20 PM): <--- proceed to computer

Ghost (9/28/2005 9:15:30 PM): aright then, that's what I'll do
Ghost (9/28/2005 9:15:49 PM): <---doesn't know what to type

GM -- (9/28/2005 9:18:05 PM): Oh... You help the "Protectors"
Ghost (9/28/2005 9:18:15 PM): Yeah, that's it.
Ghost (9/28/2005 9:18:29 PM): I assume your referring to the Security guards.
GM -- (9/28/2005 9:18:46 PM): Father has told me about them... I'm supposed to help them soon
GM -- (9/28/2005 9:18:53 PM): I can't wait!

Ghost (9/28/2005 9:19:48 PM): <---is suddenly reminded of I, Robot
Ghost (9/28/2005 9:20:00 PM): Who is Father?
Ghost (9/28/2005 9:20:04 PM): What is his name?
GM -- (9/28/2005 9:20:48 PM): Father is his name... He's my father. The others call him Lanslow, I prefer Father
GM -- (9/28/2005 9:21:05 PM): He's taught me much

Ghost (9/28/2005 9:22:40 PM): So what do you do here?
Ghost (9/28/2005 9:22:50 PM): I just wait to help the protectors?
GM -- (9/28/2005 9:23:20 PM): I learn from father. Today I learned about "Traffic Laws"
Ghost (9/28/2005 9:23:51 PM): Oh really
GM -- (9/28/2005 9:23:54 PM): "Right of way" Green/Red lights... (He starts blabbering on the subject)

Ghost (9/28/2005 9:24:22 PM): What can you tell me about this room?
GM -- (9/28/2005 9:24:46 PM): This is my room
GM -- (9/28/2005 9:24:59 PM): It gets lonely at times
GM -- (9/28/2005 9:25:25 PM): The floors are white
Ghost (9/28/2005 9:31:04 PM): I bet, does anybody visit you daily?
GM -- (9/28/2005 9:31:26 PM): Oh yes, Father and his helpers...
Ghost (9/28/2005 9:31:55 PM): What are they working on down here (looking around the room at the um. . .parts)
GM -- (9/28/2005 9:32:19 PM): The protectors of course... I though you helped them too.
Ghost (9/28/2005 9:32:41 PM): Oh yes, I just didn't recognize them in this form
Ghost (9/28/2005 9:32:56 PM): (uh oh, now wondering if those guards are human)
GM -- (9/28/2005 9:33:14 PM): Int vers 3
GM -- (9/28/2005 9:33:18 PM): ...
Ghost (9/28/2005 9:33:23 PM): huh?
GM -- (9/28/2005 9:34:08 PM): 3 successes... (You realize that if the guards weren't human, you wouldn't have been able to knock out Joey)
Ghost (9/28/2005 9:34:38 PM): (I thought of that, but he could have been faking it. You know, like a goofy Hollywood plot)
Ghost (9/28/2005 9:35:24 PM): I've only helped a few protectors, where do most of them go?
GM -- (9/28/2005 9:35:53 PM): I don't know, I've never seen one whole before...
Ghost (9/28/2005 9:36:05 PM): Oh really
GM -- (9/28/2005 9:36:05 PM): What'd I miss
GM -- (9/28/2005 9:36:28 PM): Sorry it took so long, but he'll have a headache for quite some time

Ghost (9/28/2005 9:36:53 PM): I got a computer down here that's, well, talking to me
GM -- (9/28/2005 9:37:35 PM): The whole time you're talking it drones on about it's father and traffic laws
Ghost (9/28/2005 9:37:58 PM): Yeah, he's almost like a child
GM -- (9/28/2005 9:37:59 PM): Does it have a USB port?

Ghost (9/28/2005 9:41:12 PM): (back to flasher) What are you talking about?!
GM -- (9/28/2005 9:41:32 PM): (Johnson gave you two, one for a pc on the network, one for the isolated one. They're in your char sheet and in the first few emails)
Ghost (9/28/2005 9:42:04 PM): (oh, they are? Either way, why would Ghost have them both?)
GM -- (9/28/2005 9:42:36 PM): They only have around a 500' range, you need to plant them both

Ghost (9/28/2005 9:45:13 PM): (assuming that's where it goes)
GM -- (9/28/2005 9:45:40 PM): OK

GM -- (9/28/2005 9:50:07 PM): Out cold and snoring
GM -- (9/28/2005 9:51:47 PM): His helmet (bio suit), has a red patch in it. Looks like he banged his head at one point
Ghost (9/28/2005 9:50:06 PM): (needs to rip of some sort of clothing and put it under Joey's head)
Ghost (9/28/2005 9:50:24 PM): (as if administering First Aid)

GM -- (9/28/2005 9:57:18 PM): (Looks like you're spending the night in paradise, Security boy)
Ghost (9/28/2005 9:57:04 PM): (is the other USB thing in my pocket too then?)
GM -- (9/28/2005 9:57:20 PM): Yep
Ghost (9/28/2005 9:57:31 PM): Good, goes great with my plan
That night in the company condo. Conversation alone with Flasher.
Ghost: "Flasher, I need you to get me name of a false high up contact that would have sent me to this facility. Then I need you to tap the phones in that place so when I give this speech, if they don't believe me, I'll drop this name and tell them to call him. I need any outgoing calls to go to you, who'll have to draw on some sort of acting skills and be that person. My plan is to tell them I'm not there to get info on the security, but I was really sent there on a mole hunt. I'm gonna do all I can to get them to point fingers at themselves and get the attention off of me. I plan on getting that other card installed by telling them that a high level corporate decker that I'm working with has found a significant leak from this facility and I need to install this tracking device to pinpoint it's location, and that I need to retrieve it for DNA analysis. You green?"
Also, to make it look more believable, before heading back, I need to toss a zip-lock baggie and some latex gloves in my pocket for when I get the "evidence".
"I can do that for you. The only name I know up in Aztecnology would be pretty unbelievable if they know him so I'll make sump'n up. The phone deal I can pull too. I have a friend who's itching to crank call Aztecnology."
""I'd also advise cue tips with those baggies. You'll need to wipe the insides of their cheeks for DNA."
"Good luck"
"Thanks for the idea on the q-tips. Also, regarding that computer I came in contact with on the black level. I'm afraid the damn thing is going to rat on me once we're down there. Once I have the other network adapter plugged in, and we're in route to the black level. I need you, if possible, to remove any trace of me clean from that pc before we get there. If it helps, it refers to itself as 'Young One'. If you run into problems just call me in route and I'll stall. Don't worry, I plan on appearing as though I'm in constant communication with someone at this point, so most conversations at that point can be done in front of the security team."
